The creator of fear and hunger painted all the images in the game, the creator of undertale made the sprites in paint, if you use AI in your video game it is not because of a "low budget", it is because you never wanted to make art or hire an artist in the first place
I don't care what level your budget is at. The use of genA/I is trash and you should not be supported. Tired of seeing folks try and defend it because "we're just a small operation" or whatever else.
I got an email today about a new start up in webcomics called storygrounds. Normally I ignore this kind of mail but I am going to share it, and also what I found on storygrounds website. Spoiler: they’re asking artists to consent to AI models being trained on their webcomics
So funny I see this tweet rn bc I was just thinking of this queen today. Dr. Wong-Staal was irreplaceable in the fight against AIDS, and as a training virologist I dream of one day accomplishing even a fraction of what she has. In case you don’t know about her, here’s some info:

Been seeing this make the rounds - I agree 100% and just want to add: If children's media is too sanitized - if there's not an ounce of sad/scary/dark/anger/etc - kids will seek it out somewhere else. You might not like where they find it.
Hot take (I may be wrong): I feel one of the reasons children are becoming more cruel and mean nowadays is that these kind of scenes arent done much anymore Heartbreaking scenes make kids realize ppl get hurt, and that hurt isnt fun Heartbreaking scenes make kids empathetic
