Look, when I post about God, I’m not trying to be a preacher or teach anyone the Bible. I’m simply sharing my personal experiences with Him and what He has done in my life. Now, if I see Scripture being twisted or taken out of context, I will absolutely speak up. But I don’t claim to know everything, and I’m not here to tell anyone I’m a better Christian than they are. I’ve been through some dark shit in my life, and my faith in Jesus Christ has helped me through things I never thought I’d survive. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL BORN IN 1930's, 1940's, 50's, 60's, 70's and Early 80's !!! First, you survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us. They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a tin, and didn't get tested for diabetes. Then after that trauma, your baby cots were covered with bright coloured lead-based paints. You had no childproof lids on medicine ..medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when you rode your bikes, you had no helmets, not to mention, the risks you took hitch-hiking .. As children, you would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags. Riding in the back of a van - loose - was always great fun. You drank water from the garden hosepipe and NOT from a bottle. You shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this. You ate cakes, white bread and real butter and drank pop with sugar in it, but you weren't overweight because...... YOU WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!! You would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the street lights came on. No one was able to reach you all day. And you were OK. You would spend hours building your go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out you forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, you learned to solve the problem . You did not have Play stations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 99 channels on cable, no video tape movies, no surround sound, no mobile phones, no text messaging, no personal computers, no Internet or Internet chat rooms.......... YOU HAD FRIENDS and you went outside and found them! You fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents you played with worms(well most boys did) and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever. You made up games with sticks and tennis balls and although you were told it would happen, you did not poke out any eyes. You rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just yelled for them! Local teams had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!! The idea of a parent bailing you out if you broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law! This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever! The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas. You had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and you learned HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL! And YOU are one of them! CONGRATULATIONS! You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated our lives for our own good. Balaam was traveling on his donkey when the angel of the Lord stood in the road to oppose him. Balaam could not see the angel, but his donkey could. Seeing the angel with a drawn sword, the donkey turned aside into a field. Balaam struck the donkey to make it return to the path. This happened three times. Each time, the donkey tried to avoid the angel, and each time Balaam became angrier. Then God performed an extraordinary miracle: He opened the donkey’s mouth, & it spoke to Balaam. Afterward, God opened Balaam’s eyes, and he finally saw the angel standing in the road. “Then the LORD opened the mouth of the donkey, and it said to Balaam, ‘What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?’” Numbers 22:28 Balaam was frustrated because he could not understand why his journey was being interrupted. Yet the very obstacle he was angry about was protecting him from a danger he could not see. Sometimes, we become so focused on reaching our goals that we fail to recognize when God is trying to redirect us. Don’t be so focused on reaching your destination that you ignore God’s correction along the way. Sometimes, what frustrates you may be protecting you. Don't let anger or impatience blind you to what God may be trying to show you. Stay humble enough to listen, wise enough to pause & faithful enough to let God redirect your steps.

I learned this FASCINATING detail about the Garden of Gethsemane on a recent trip to Israel and it completely changed how I read the night Jesus was arrested. Here's what I discovered. The word "Gethsemane" actually means "oil press." And that's interesting because Gethsemane is located on the Mount of Olives, where olives were crushed and pressed to produce oil. In the Bible, there are 4 different purposes for olive oil. 1. To anoint kings, priests, and prophets 2. For cleansing. 3. To treat wounds and bring healing 4. To bring light through oil lamps. Now think about this. In Gethsemane, Jesus was being pressed under the weight of what was coming… …because He fulfills the roles of anointed KING, PRIEST and PROPHET. …because He’s getting ready to go to the cross to CLEANSE us from our sins. …because He’s the One who came to HEAL our wounds. …because He is the LIGHT of the world and whoever walks with him will never walk in darkness. But wait, there’s more. When you press ripe olives, the first liquid out of the press is not pure oil. It is a dark purple-reddish color liquid. Some people think it looks like blood. Luke 22:44 tells us that Jesus was in such agony that His sweat became like drops of BLOOD falling to the ground. Here’s the point. Salvation costs you nothing. But to Jesus, it cost him everything. The olives were pressed and what came out was oil. Jesus was pressed and what came out was his blood. And it is in his blood that today we find salvation.

Not gonna lie. I could get really get used to having a Secretary of State who casually references the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Christendom, and the riches of Christian theology on the world stage.

HOW TO DRAW CLOSER TO GOD 1. Start your mornings with prayer. Invite God into every day. 2. Open your Bible before touching your phone. 3. Talk to God about what's heavy on your heart. 4. Practice gratitude daily. 5. Stop stressing about what you can't change. 6. Thank God for small blessings throughout the day. 7. Let go of the bitterness you've been holding onto. 8. Talk to God about everything. 9. Fast from what feeds your flesh more than your faith. 10. Spend more time in His Word, not just in your thoughts. 11. Stop giving time to things that pull you away from Him. 12. Spend time with people who push you closer to Jesus. 13. Don't isolate; you need community to grow. 14. Be kind to yourself, grace is part of growth. 15. End the day in prayer: reflect, repent, and thank Him.

Pleasant View was billed $46,000 for 23. ⠀ Shady Lane was billed $20,000 for 10. ⠀ Footnote 9 of the Second Circuit opinion records the state's view. Each day an unvaccinated student attends is a fresh violation and a fresh $2,000 fine. ⠀ Another day for those 59 children is another $118,000.
