@leojurand @naindelaguerre (spoilers!) It just didn't make sense & went against everything we knew about P especially. Hard to believe that, both so young, they'd feel like that: no possibility of intimacy ever, no future together. Better die than live without s*x, etc. So angsty!

@leojurand Exactly! We're sold over and over on P's common sense. And the trauma doesn't *quite* explain it (imho) - I'd love to read a good essay from a trauma expert on Checkmate. Maybe DD just wanted to turn up the drama volume for the grand finale.

@leojurand I wish I loved Checkmate wholeheartedly :( I feel I don't know Lymond and Philippa anymore, everything between them is melodrama on steroids. They only consider options that lead to death, blindness, addiction, and life-long misery. Any advice?!

I'm a retired musician/teacher but, back in the day, I had another life coding mainframe training systems. So, I GOT RID OF THE DOG that is plucking our nerves. R-Click on pic of dog, Click on Inspect, R-Click on the highlighted code and then select "Hide Element." WOOF!
