The Starmerite centre put Tories into office in 2017, and again in 2019. Now they say they want to 'get the Tories out', but can't offer any reason for that except that they seem to think it's 'their turn' to do the same thing the Tories have been doing for the last 13 years.
@simonmaginn @ReddanTony Corbyn lost in 2017 and 2019. Starmer pretended to support the policies at the time, and gets hammered by the Tories because of it. The Tories hate Starmer more than Corbyn, because he might win. OK, it will be a Blairite government but don't ignore that government's achievements
@simonmaginn Substitute "voters" for "the Starmerite centre" in that first sentence, and you're finally getting somewhere.
@simonmaginn So true..neither party have anything to offer ...
@simonmaginn @Shambles151 Damming, but true.
@simonmaginn There's only so much dosh you can make as a shadow minister. Once you've been the real thing, the consultancies and directorships open up for you.
@simonmaginn @Blasdale exactly and we are fed up to the back teeth of that
