It actually blows my mind that Joan was a successful lawyer (literally junior partner at her firm) and had her own house before 30, had an active social life, was stunning but felt like literally none of that mattered because no wedding was in sight
@silknymphe It doesn’t blow my mind at all smh 😭 when you spend so much time prioritizing your education and career other areas of your life suffer. And it’s all you can see sometimes
@silknymphe Joan was so desperate to be in a relationship that she made poor choices in picking a man. That’s why there was no wedding in sight, plus she had some inner work to do.
@silknymphe Maybe because none of that mattered? Your success doesn’t dictate how happy you’ll be. People still want love, a family, a spouse. You can’t fill every void with a degree, a house, money, and friends.
@silknymphe @ChantayyJayy Idky you baffled. Real life women behave this way. Nothing matters to them if they aren’t mothers or wives.
@silknymphe I agree, but the house came from her grandmother
