share ko lang lang kasi, nag-reflect ako nitong mga nakaraan. not everyone will agree with me, and that’s okay, but i genuinely think it’s time that we stop silencing people who are willing to stand up and defend Dustin and Bianca, especially when they’re doing it respectfully and when we know we’re standing on the right side of an issue. maybe it’s also time for us to stop being overly apologetic and kiss-ass to other fandoms, especially those who have clearly shown hidden animosity toward us since PBB and continue to find ways to bully or put down Dustin and Bianca. i realized that, at the end of the day, tayo-tayo rin naman ang magkakampi. and honestly, nakakalungkot and nakakapagod din na ang dali nating gawing easy target ng ibang fandom just because we’re always the ones saying sorry, even when we didn’t do anything wrong. being kind doesn’t mean we have to keep taking everything quietly. being understanding doesn’t mean we have to tolerate disrespect. i’m not saying we should start fights or become hostile. quite the opposite. I hope we continue to be the kind of fandom that knows how to speak up without losing our kindness, and knows how to defend without becoming disrespectful. and when we’re wrong, of course, we should be accountable and apologize. but when we know we did nothing wrong, we shouldn’t feel pressured to apologize just to keep the peace. sa kagustuhan nating maging mabuti sa lahat, minsan nakakalimutan na natin maging mabuti rin sa sarili nating community. we shouldn’t have to constantly shrink ourselves just so other people will be comfortable with us. we deserve to protect our space, too. i’ll always pray that Dustin and Bianca continue to grow, succeed, and reach a point where no one will ever feel entitled to step on them or make them feel small. and i hope this fandom learns when to fight, when to speak up, and when to simply walk away. hindi lahat ng laban kailangan patulan, but the ones that matter deserve a voice. let’s stay respectful, but let’s never be afraid to stand our ground when we know we’re right ❤️‍🩹
