would also like to add that despite calling their death to the chinese years ago, everyone is still calling every single midsize EV cuv a Model Y Killer in the big '26
you can guarantee tesla engineers will manage better than anyone else in the industry on whatever they are set to do
issue is they are set off to do the wrong things extremely often by musk & co, but that doesn't make the engineering any less incredible imho
before the permanent ml underclass was the permanent jdm underclass,
you either bought ur granturismo dream car pre covid, outearned price hikes post covid, or have lost forever, sorry
it's okay, i'll never own a r35 t-spec either

this is why I don't like gxace for whoever commented him that last time, just think its extremely shallow analysis & commentary, w/ ur avg for-profit lut packs, lol
not that tesla eng can't compete outside of that, they can & very well do, but obv within ml there is significantly more competition in comp that that auto margins alone can't sustain

@alcedoalcyon the non imax 70mm (& 35mm) in the various nyc theatres r also p good but yea they're not imax unfort, they r good enough for any non 1.43 film tho
but then u might as well watch dolby or whatever ig
Imax 70MM was originally near purely a scientific/documentary format, as well as imax dome setups
and so near all of them are in musuems/centers/public works etc.,
which is why lincoln square is so special, on top of being a grand theatre location it's built around cinema first
smtg u should consider prior to cosmetic ear surgery, if for whatever reason you consider it, is its effect on directionality
the folds on your ear serve a purpose, to amplify certain frequencies & timing, to better perceive directionality etc
huge effect on interpreting speech

@bryancsk yesss this is still like the single most beautiful theatre in the world
even if it used to be slightly better, maybe. but little me could not believe those stars weren't real
across in NJ is actually the largest dome theatre in the world, which not long ago used to be IMAX running 70MM film. theyve science converted it digital, for better or worse
everyone loves the idea of film but it's such diminishing returns for incredibly finicky hardware
credit to, out of all people, disney for attempting to solve this with "infinity vision" branding which attempts to collocate non-IMAX premium offerings
(dolby cinema, regal rpx, etc)
reason is bc dune got all the imax screens before doomsday but competition is competition...
there are two worthwhile formats, 70mm & samsung onyx, those use the scale & volume of theatres to amortize unbelievable technology for the masses
maybe dolby & imax GT if you only occasionally watch movies & don't have a setup
99% of theatres r coasting on decade old rendering

i don't know why all of you are surprised i'm hating i've been like #1 amc theatre hater for a decade now
we literally solved distribution & are very nearly solving displays themselves & yet everyone is hellbent on amc taking prime real estate for mostly shitty xenon projection
