my dev work won't be affected! none of my games have ever used unity. however, most of my friends and many of the projects that inspire my work were/are being made in unity, and it hurts seeing them all have to abandon their projects or risk fees they can't afford.
i haven't been posting on this account (although i have been on tumblr and cohost!), but i wanted to come out of the woodworks to say that unity's new policy is horrible, and i hope for the sake of the whole indie dev community that they walk back this decision.
the lamp jam streams were a lot of fun, so i want to try doing them more regularly! i'll be streaming again in about 2 hours (10PM EST), this time to do some work on Lavender Hollow. you'll get a sneak peek of the demo town i've been doing most of my work in recently!

junebug 4: i drew this last night, but i crashed before i posted it! been playing through a game of The Deep Forest to explore Lavender Hollow's history more, and the death of Haundr (an early historian) stuck with me. their friend Cyrano took care of them to the end
