Just wrapped up a session teaching the Elements of Design to my students some days ago. As part of my preparations for the class, I studied one of @godswillbrandr 's resource: Small Book on Design. The Elements of Design aren’t just abstract concepts they are the actual foundation of everything we create as designers. We walked through Line, Shape, Form, Color, Texture, Space, and Typography, and I watched the students begin to see how these elements work together to give structure, meaning, and impact to visual communication. It reminded me again: great design doesn’t start with software. It starts with understanding these fundamentals deeply enough to make intentional choices. Grateful for resources like this that keep things clear and practical. If you’re just starting out or mentoring others, this one is worth your time.
