Leaked NYT memo instructs journalists to avoid terms like "ethnic cleansing," "genocide," or occupied territory." theintercept.com/2024/04/15/nyt…
@ryangrim Not a surprise but they should just say they the "Israeli Times" and be done with it.
@ryangrim I remember when we all used to snicker at anything that came out of Pravda. Now, our newspaper of record *is* Pravda, just with different government bosses.
@ryangrim @KimDotcom They are implementing newspeak.
@ryangrim Good. None of those are taking place and use of them implies non-journalistic bias.
The Times will never deal with the genocides of Jews, the ethnic cleansing of the MENA Jews, of the Jews of Yerushalayim, the city that David the Jew built. It has taken its figures on casualties in Gaza from Hamas, lol, but then it got "info" on the Holocaust from the Nazis. No matter how many times I told them that those figures could, literally, not be correct, they stuck with their Hamasytic source, until now, when the said disease confessed that the figures were wrong. Hard to be a Jew (an authentic Jew)? Of course, but as long as we make it hard to be racist, embarrassing, and costly, when it can be done, I'm good.
@ryangrim Ryan, why do you think the NYT has lagged public opinion so hard on this issue? Roughly 3/4 of Dems support a ceasefire. A majority sympathize more with Palestinians than Israelis. What structure or incentive makes the NYT even worse than most liberal media on this topic?
@ryangrim I can't believe how much the NYT is debasing itself for this war. Is this really the hill to die on? What's the reasoning even?
@ryangrim @RnaudBertrand Coverup so obvious.Too late as world citizens are Palestine.
