Long term financial planning is critically important in modern financial markets. You won’t know how to get where you want to go if you don’t fully understand where you are today. Make a plan and be proactive.
You don’t need to outsmart others to make it. You just need to (out)learn, experiment, fail and retry everyone else. Those who learn the most will earn the most.
Creating something meaningful means signing up for perpetual discomfort. Comfort is a sign of stasis. Discomfort is a sign of growth. The discomfort should probably never go away, which is a tough pill to swallow.
