I can understand those who are baffled that conservatives are entertaining removing Mike Johnson from being speaker in an election year with a small majority. I haven’t really weighed in bc I understand the pros and cons. But those watching from the outside need to understand the magnitude of what Johnson is doing. Funding Ukraine & acting as the third party payer of that endless war has rightfully become a mini Brexit for many of us. The neocon foreign policy establishment is determined to keep us in this role of bill payer & imperial leader. We want out, yesterday. It’s killing and exhausting our country. It’s leading to more war internationally. Mike Johnson made commitments not to fund Ukraine without securing the border. I wish he had said regardless, but it was a tangible/reasonable approach. He is now violating that promise bc global elites (David Cameron etc) and ruling class Republicans are in a complete freak out and guess what…he agrees with them! He is a neocon. That is what is happening. So Mike Johnson is now touching the stove and may light himself on fire. This is after being worse than utter mediocrity when it comes to the spending fights, refusing to use the power of the purse, and flipping his position on reforming FISA after a SCIF brief. I don’t know what is going to happen and if he goes down, I expect a complete meltdown from Con Inc. But Mike Johnson will be responsible for his own demise for choosing to govern against the clear wishes of the vast majority of grassroots conservatives who are educated on the issues. And that is no longer a survivable place to be for any GOP leader and thank God for it.
Speaker Johnson shows all the signs of being blackmailed. They put out traps right away when new people show up in Congress. If you take money or a sweet heart deal, you're trapped. Madison Cawthorne showed us that they have cocaine and orgy parties. If you go, they'll have video to use against you. Madison was smart enough not to go, but talked about it in public. McCarthy hired a poltical killer to take him out in 2022 because of it. He succeeded. There are many more ways they can do it, especially to naive people that aren't well versed in the law. They'll set you up to break the law without you even knowing you're doing it. It kind if sounds like how the devil operates, doesn't it.
@russvought We are beyond outraged. Our hard fought majority was stolen from us at a time in history where it really matters. Johnson is a contemptible traitor and if I see one more picture of him with his Bible, I will puke.
@russvought The border bill was included in all this funding, it’s Trump that demanded it be removed and no border fixes be passed while President Biden is in office , Trump said he wants chaos but no solutions
@russvought Ukraine made the decision to completely denuclearize. In exchange, the U.S., the U.K. and Russia would guarantee Ukraine's security in a 1994 agreement known as the Budapest Memorandum. x.com/i/status/17802…

@russvought Congress appears to be serving two Masters. Most likely the intelligence agencies and the Industrial war complex?
@russvought It would help to use paragraphs... just sayin'...
@russvought I believe he had good (or at least mediocre) intentions at the start of the office. Now, there is no clear path forward.
@russvought That most certainly earned a follow...brilliantly written, sir! 💥
Republicans were not viewed favorably last year when they took weeks to elect a new Speaker. They cannot afford to backpedal now right before a major election. They need to focus on November. They have one less House member than they did last year and they could barely elect a Speaker with a majority. If they tried it again, they'd be shooting themselves in the foot.
