My mother once called me 18 times in a row in college because she couldn’t reach me and it freaked her out. Reader, I just did that to my parents because no one was picking up the house phone, cell phones, FaceTime, text, or WhatsApp. I have become my mother.
They were at the grocery store arguing about why they were sold milk that expires January 9th on January 9th “on principle.”
@roopikarisam I've done that to my parents. Then when they answer I lecture them about how it could have been an emergency and why aren't they always answering their cells??
@roopikarisam A transition no one is ready for and no one can escape 😂
@roopikarisam Used to call my mom at 7PM and when no answer, pile the kids in the car to go check. It was usually that she had unplugged the phone to clean it (German!) and hadn't bothered to plug back in, but one time, it was that she was coming from the grocery and forgot how to get home.
@roopikarisam Oh my yes. I text my mom when I’m out of the house for errands. (She lives with me) I am become my parents.
@roopikarisam A similar thing happened to me, from both sides! 😅
@roopikarisam Have sent my childhood friend who still lives in the neighborhood to go knock on my parent’s door. One phone was water damaged, other was on silent. 🤦🏻 IYKYK
@roopikarisam My mom loves her Apple Watch because ours are linked and the activity tracker is like proof of life!
