I keep seeing the point that the Sixers *should* put Embiid on ice for the rest of the year, which is driving me crazy. It was supposed to be a 6-8 week recovery. Looks like they are going to take at least eight weeks. But if he's good to go, you play him point blank period.
If Embiid is still hurt or there is a setback, by all means keep him out. But two months is a reasonable timeline. It feels like people are making this point because the Sixers stink right now. And they do. But they did not stink with Embiid! They were 29-13 when he got injured.
@rich_hofmann I think the docs should decide whether he's ready or not. That said, given the Sixers history since he was drafted of seemingly allowing him to do whatever he wants and deciding when he plays/doesn't, I do have concerns they are hesitant to play him,but he overrules the med staff
@rich_hofmann I truly don’t understand it at lmao. As if the goal isn’t to win the fucking title. As if there’s a guarantee the chances will ever be better. Bringing back Embiid is a total no-brainer.
@rich_hofmann Shut him down and build for next season. Bye Toby.
@rich_hofmann No way I’d play him again this year. For what? One lousy playoff game? Put him on ice till next January or February at the earliest.
@rich_hofmann yeah, it's 7 weeks to the day since his surgery. he'll be back most likely 2 weeks from today, April 9 for the last three home games. so they were off by a week on timing. big whoop.
@rich_hofmann Mostly fans of other eastern conference teams lol
