Thanks to the folks who helped w/ my unmountable SSD issue. I want to share what I learned to help others. If you are running OSX Sonoma or earlier, DON'T FORMAT a main drive with ExFAT. The file structure can break easily, and you might not be able to fix it.

There’s no existing generative image model that can make a HDR scene-referred or scene-linear photo or video and there is also no massive training data set available for them to learn that from. Just want y’all to remember that when you say it’s going to kill the film industry.
@dickij10 @michaelkammes I explain the ontology of the term "line" from a historical sense and it helps people get the distinction. The line feed is what goes to air, you take the offline feed and mess around, then you put the pieces into the line feed for broadcast.
The "magic mask" in Resolve is great when it works. But damn does it seem like a buggy mess. Tracking disappears randomly, renders fail or the mask comes and goes in the render. Is it just me or is the same thing happening to us all?

Many are shooting with iPhone 15 Pro. Get ready for the joys of conforming footage that doesn't have a constant frame rate. And yes, even the ProRes from iPhone 15 Pro has this issue. You'll need to budget extra time/money for either transcodes at start or conform at end.

@restlesspix It’s frustrating watching ppl using tracks, the trouble they go through to move things around the timeline to try out different ideas. In my mind I’m thinking click, drag, let go in fcp. Features like auditions where you can have different clips change out with auto ripping.
