@Culture_Crit The Colosseum is more than 1900 years old compare to modern day structures. Do you know the Roman concretes rebuilds itself? meaning if it has a crack, the crack will literally heal.
@archehistory @Culture_Crit We need that Roman concrete on the bridges around here.
@archehistory @Culture_Crit 8 year the construction of the colliseum… 2023 impossible to do the équivalent in 8 years…
@archehistory @Culture_Crit Car manufactures could build a car that lasts a lifetime but there isnt any money in that just like big pharma would rather treat symptoms than sell a one use cure.
@archehistory @Culture_Crit concrete doesn't rebuild its self.
@archehistory @Culture_Crit I saw that! Amazing. The aqueduct still works. The mathematical precision for a gradient to carry water to this day is amazing. Today’s kids cannot multiply and need a calculator for even basic math.
@archehistory @Culture_Crit Didn't they use volcanic pumice rock and ash? We can do that today, but trust me, you don't want to pay to haul that stuff halfway around the world.
@archehistory @Culture_Crit If you apply water yes.
@archehistory @Culture_Crit The Roman’s great at everything.
