Me presenting a concept. Followed by them. Low thoughts.
@rangermonk1 "It's expensive to get my off-grid home on the grid"
The least expensive mostly complete options I have seen have been offered by ITH when they have a special going. Their current special ends when they sell 5 more IIRC or on 03/31. 8 X 24 made of insulated metal panels on trailer w/electrical and plumbing. youtu.be/XatyQUQJnAM
@rangermonk1 I actually agree with going further than 30 miles, if you can do it. But if that's where you can buy land, that's far enough for most cases. People will get there eventually... but that's what a log palisade wall is for. Jurassic-Park-style fence, FTW.
@rangermonk1 😂 Who cares about rushing utilities to it. Put a wood stove in and a bunch of windows. Put a wind vain on top and drop a drive shaft down to cranks some fans.
@rangermonk1 Would love to know where he’s finding land like that.
@rangermonk1 It CAN be done, you start with living beneath your means, buying land, then shelter, upgrades, then livestock and gardens. Next thing you know, you're off grid and saving a fortune by HOMESTEADING. Google & YouTube are your friends.
@rangermonk1 People do it here where I live. You buy it put some effort in and make it a tiny home. All these nay sayers have no vision/ imagination and some of them don’t seem to understand every home starts as 4 walls and a roof then the plumbing and accoutrements are all added.
