The unaffected protocols use API3’s exchange rate feeds. Exchange rate feeds simply bridge the rate at which ETH can be swapped for the LSD asset on mainnet (where the deposit contract is) to the dapp intending to use LSD pricing.
Some lending protocols that allowed ezETH collateral had no liquidations though - @MendiFinance on Linea, along with the lending protocols on @Blast_L2 as examples. Why?
Morpho used the Redstone feed, and Gearbox used a combination of redstone and Chainlink. These feeds report the $ value based on the liquidity available and current traded price. This can be poor for LSD assets -selling 25 ezETH would drop price by almost 2% on mainnet
