The more cotton, the better they'll age and feel. 3. Body-hug clothing: Search: • Ribbed Knit • Modal • Viscose Blend • Cotton-Spandex Blend They hold their shape much better than cheap polyester. 4. Only buy products with lots of reviews or pictures or even better when a Nigerian has purchased it before they always tell the truth. 4. Read the 1-star reviews first. They'll tell you what the seller won't. 5. Look at customer photos, not the product photos. 6. Check the weight of the product. Better quality clothing is often heavier. 7. Read the size chart. Don't assume your Nigerian size matches. 8. If the title has words like "luxury," "premium," or "designer" but the material is 100% polyester, not everything but still move on. Your best friend isn't the product picture. It's the material, the reviews, and the customer photos. That's how you separate the gems from the junk. I hope this help. Things are to expensive for a country this poor.

Things are happening in this Lagos o and it’s unfair to law abiding citizens. If you don’t mix with people, you won’t hear things. Between Ketu and Mile 12, these boys snatch phones inside traffic. They jump to snatch phones inside BRT. They pickpocket at Mile 12 and Ketu. If you try to hustle bus to Ikorodu thinking you are struggling with fellow passengers, phones ti lor. Some days ago, two women were pickpocketed at Mile 12 losing 3 phones while rushing bus. Two iPhone 12 pro and one 13 pro max. They didn’t even know until one was looking for hers and told the other to switch on her phone torch for her 😭😭 Thank God, they got to the area and the tracking started. Someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone helped them to enter Mile 12 deepest home of bad boys. They paid 20 for connection and they were to pay 50k each on the phones if they can find it. This is no joke, over 50 phones were brought out. Over 50 iPhones and theirs were not even there. The bad guys had to agree that it’s another sect that carried out the operation and their phones should already be in Mushin. They had to reach out to the buyer from Mushin who tried but from the many phones with him, none belonged to them. He already told them he will only release each phone at 100k. Certainly, the phones were in the hands of another sect. The crime ring is very deep. These boys have buyers who will sell the phones in pieces. While they were still inside the lungu, boys came in with iPhone 13 and 15 pro max that they just snatched. Another victim 😭. These boys are everywhere. Mushin, Ikorodu Garage, Mile 12, Ketu, Mile 2, Alakija, Oshodi, everywhere but they have standby buyers. We don’t have government who will help us. They do all these in front of Mile 12 police station and nobody will do anything. Be security conscious because you have no one. Hold your phone in your hand when you struggle for bus. 🙏🙏

A conductor insulted an old man today because he was short of ₦200 for transport. The old man kept searching all his pockets while everyone in the bus looked away like they didn’t notice. I was talking to my Bro Toyyib @taadelodun this morning and we explored the dynamics of living abroad as an average Nigerian. UK is working system where you work and can comfortably pay your bills as long as you keep working. But if you miss 2 weeks of work, there is a problem. About 70% of your income goes to rent. The bills never stop, so most people's lives revolve around work. How do you afford to not work? Some couples don't spend enough time with each other because husband is doing day shift and wife is doing night shift. Toyyib told me about a couple who only see each other on Friday and they live in the same house. Before the man gets home, the wife has left for shift. Before wife gets home, husband has left for shift. Friday is the only time, they get to actually meet. In a system like UK, the kids belong to the government - whether they are born in the UK or not is irrelevant. You don't have power to discipline them. Even their teachers do not. Amidst this hustle you are doing, the system is raising your kids. You are doing all these and still committed to family and friends back home. People don't even celebrate Christmas and New Year with family because the shift that day gets you twice your normal pay. What they do is take pictures with pyjamas for social media and rush to shift. It is really not easy for many people. UK would make you realize that a month is short because bills are paid monthly. You do all these and years pass, your children leave the house and you are still not rich. I don't want to make this too long, but it is an interesting comparative reality.

If something is not broken, don’t fix it. The NYSC uniform is one of those things that has been perfect since day 1. I don’t think I have ever met anyone who has said anything negative about it. There is no color more Nigerian than that color combination. It’s a thing of pride.

Truth is better. If he said yes, and he was asked to send a copy of his passport page, what would he say? In possible situation, the person might even send you money to get your passport. Desperation should not make you entrap yourself. You lose trust.

Fake police were rampant during the time of SARS. There was a man around Ijaiye in Lagos, usually disguises himself as SUPO (his wife was a senior police officer at the time), he had perfected the whole thing that he could walk into any police station around Ijaiye Ojokoro area, and impersonate as a senior policeman. The day they’ll catch him, armed robbers robbed a house around Jacob Ogunleye street, the boy they robbed was one of his boys on the streets that he collects money from, the devil then pushed him to enter that police station and form uncle, the DPO was at the standing there in mufti when he entered, as he flashed his ID saying he is a SUPO, the DPO looked up, said no way. One or two moments later, he was at the back of the counter. Dem too beat am.
