I have a pulmonary embolism. A fucking pulmonary embolism. I can't believe I cried through appointments with TWO pulmonologists trying to get them to understand that my breathing is so much worse, and only got a CT because I ASKED FOR IT, and I have a pulmonary embolism.
Here's what I've been saying a bajillion times over: I feel like it's taking a lot of effort to get the air in and out. I know I can breathe, but it feels so much worse. I feel sometimes like there's not enough room in my chest for my lungs. ...
@primnimproper_ I am sorry to hear this. This sounds like a frustration that comes with the Canadian HC system. Are you Canadian?
@primnimproper_ Are you otherwise pretty healthy?
WOW. Another example of Doctors not listening to women. I went undiagnosed with a debilitating condition for 2 phuqing years while it ravaged my body because drs thought I was depressed or just tired from working 12hr nights as I was getting older. 2 PHUQING years. Now I'm permanently disabled. All the best to you Mallory💙🙏
@primnimproper_ My husband had a pulmonary embolism, but we were lucky enough to be in the wilds of Africa. The Namibian doctors don’t bother with psych evaluations, they just looked at his physical symptoms. Glad you finally got them to listen.
@primnimproper_ Looks like you might need a specialist MRI scan itnonline.com/content/lastin… Also some damage can be reversed through improving lung biome with Streptococcus Salivarius K12 ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P… Good luck you're going to need it. Misogyny is rife among physicians.
