Today we have a major overhaul of our Primer SDK, paving the way for the first components of our x402 privacy network, now in development. Initial features include: > Primer facilitator configs > Prism ERC20 handling > Bittensor/Chutes scaffold > Additional networks (@SkaleNetwork) x402 has grown a great deal since last year and our old SDK was a product of that time - a completely original implementation of the protocol with ground-breaking features like ERC20 support via Prism. We still use v0.7 to this day when starting any new project and it works brilliantly. However, with major forthcoming additions relating to our x402 privacy network, we've rationalised our SDK to ensure perfect alignment with the official (x402 Foundation) way of doing things, in detail, even if they aren't strictly always the cleanest in a standalone context. Widest compatibility is the important thing here; Primer is getting used right now, and it's going to get used a lot more, and we're making it as familiar and easy as possible for any user to plug in and go. v1 of the new Primer SDK: 📜 npm install @primersystems/x402 🐍 pip install primer-x402 Docs: docs.primer.systems This update involves breaking changes from v0.x; these versions are still documented (see "Deprecated" section) but no longer maintained.

When we launched our x402 facilitator and SDK last year it was, at the time, the only solution to handling any ERC20 - by way of our innovative Prism proxy contract. Perhaps we inspired them, who knows; some months later Coinbase put out a similar approach using Permit2, which also works very well. We've upgraded our facilitator (v1.4) to incorporate the Permit2 approach to ERC20s, as well as completing support for the Upto scheme. The OG Prism approach to ERC20s remains available, of course. In fact, Prism will be evolving towards the expanded role it needs to play within our forthcoming privacy network. Since we launched x402 last year, we've seen: → Over $100M in transactions → 90% of onchain agentic stablecoin transaction volume running on @base And now we're partnering with companies like AWS to let AI agents instantly pay for what they use. Some examples of what that enables ↓
4/ Our x402 facilitator has processed many thousands of transactions and is routinely in the top set on x402scan rankings. It will plug into the wider Primer Network as the new privacy components get built out. Agentic payments, and privacy, are two of the most important and exciting sectors to be building in today, and Primer is leading the way.
1/ CoinGecko have added two new ecosystem categories for Primer: Privacy, and Privacy Infrastructure. In addition to our x402 category, of course. This small change is more important than it seems: we have serious ambitions at the intersection of agentic payments and privacy.
