This week: the House will be voting on a resolution to condemn the phrase “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” and to deem it as antisemitic. The resolution is led by Republican Rep. Anthony D’Esposito & Democratic Reps. Josh Gottheimer and Jared Moskowitz.
@prem_thakker That non-binding resolution which does not go to the Senate is unconstitutional!
@prem_thakker “From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will Be Free!!” . . . If ending ethnocracy in favor of a state that respects all faiths or lack there of, and protecting basic rights for all is wrong, the United States has truly lost its way.
@prem_thakker But of course this is fine.

The US Constitution should be required reading for members of Congress so that they will not seek to enact laws abridging freedom of speech. "Amendment I Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
@prem_thakker These US politicians are all @AIPAC-owned shills. Of course, they want to limit free speech against Israel. “From the river to the sea, #Palestine will be free.”
“From the river to the sea” is a slogan used by the Israeli ruling Likud party in their 1977 election manifesto. The slogan states that “between the Sea and the Jordan, there will only be Israeli sovereignty; Judea and Samaria will not be handed to any foreign administration”. The phrase reflects Israel's geography, which spans the narrow stretch of land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea.
