Pet peeve: Telling others not under your supervision what to do. Also: NIL is not exclusive to the NCAA despite what “pundits” keep suggesting. Caitlin will bring her huge fan base with her to the WNBA and she’ll make even more 💰

Thoughts on Prez Crow’s rhetoric ⤵️ 1) why should certain athletes be ok redistributing $ to “smaller” sports? Aren’t we against socialism? 😳 2) fine don’t make them employees but how abt sharing some revenue? 3) NIL is great but doesn’t address unfair pay for play prohibitions

1) schools are not “hiring” col athletes…collectives are paying 💰 2) NCAA has spent millions to avoid athletes becoming employees 3) once col athletes=employees, they’ll get multi year deals so schools can fire but $ guaranteed 4) athletes getting paid is a way better system

NCAA’s approach to NIL has been to get it off the books. Better than pre NIL but still not optimal. Rev sharing makes sense & is most fair… 1) $ from pie that already exists 2) puts schools back in control of recruiting 3) contracts w schools so players can trust. @JordanAckerMI
