CAN’T WAIT FOR MEDICARE-FOR-ALL!   “A retired NASA engineer who had worked on the Space Shuttle program for 25 years was hired by SpaceX at age 62. He described the first week as the most disorienting experience of his professional life. “At NASA, a design change required 3 meetings, 2 committees, a review board, and 6 to 18 months of documentation. At SpaceX, his new supervisor said ‘if it works, build it. If it doesn't, change it by Friday.’ “He sat at his desk after the first day and called his wife. He told her he felt like a man who had been swimming with ankle weights for 25 years and someone just cut them off. He could move. He could decide. He could build something in the morning and test it in the afternoon. The constraint that he had accepted as the nature of aerospace engineering turned out to be the nature of bureaucracy. “Within 6 months he had contributed to more design iterations than he had completed in his last 5 years at NASA. Not because he was working harder. Because the time between having an idea and testing the idea collapsed from months to hours. The same brain. The same knowledge. A different operating system. “He described a specific moment where he proposed a modification to a Raptor engine component. At NASA, the proposal would have entered a queue. At SpaceX, the modification was machined by the end of the day and tested by the following morning. He watched his idea become a physical object in 18 hours. At NASA, 18 hours would not have been enough to schedule the first meeting to discuss whether to schedule a meeting. “He told an interviewer: ‘I didn't get smarter when I went to SpaceX. I got faster. The intelligence was always there. The system was in the way.’ “The difference between SpaceX and NASA is not talent. NASA has extraordinary talent. The difference is the time between a thought and a test. SpaceX compresses it. NASA elongates it. The same engineer produces 10x more at SpaceX than at NASA because the bottleneck was never the engineer. It was the meetings about the meetings about the work.” —Tweet by @multiplanet1

Remember when Ilhan Omar got mad that President Trump cut USAID funding? Now we know why. Her sister was just subpoenaed by federal investigators for her alleged involvement with potential USAID money laundering.

Well well well… This was Ilhan Omar when USAID was getting shutdown. She wanted to keep the fraud going. Now it appears she wanted to keep her sister’s fraud going as well. Ihan’s sister Sahra Noor was scamming USAID. They were all stealing from us.

Milton Friedman: “In the long run, government will spend whatever the tax system will raise, plus as much more as it can get away with. That’s what history tells us.” “So my view has always been: cut taxes on any occasion, for any reason, in any way that’s politically feasible, as the only way to keep down the size of government.”

A few examples of how well socialism works: - Venezuela: richest in Latin America → 75% GDP collapse, hyperinflation, millions fled - Cuba: pre-revolution prosperity → decades of rationing and poverty - North Korea vs South Korea: same starting point, ~30x income gap - USSR, Mao’s China, Cambodia: shortages, famines, mass death

This is my favourite map infographic

Never forget: Ilhan Omar’s family didn’t flee Somalia as the oppressed. They fled because her father, Nur Omar Mohamed, was a senior colonel in the Somali National Army of the genocidal communist dictator Mohamed Siad Barre, the regime that systematically slaughtered up to 200,000 people, mostly Isaaq civilians, in one of the worst genocides in modern African history. Her father wasn’t some low-level nobody or a teacher who just happened to be around. He was an esteemed senior officer who commanded a regiment, trained in the Soviet Union, and stayed in the military hierarchy of that brutal Marxist-Leninist dictatorship for years. When the regime finally collapsed under the weight of its own mass murder, famine, and civil war in 1991, the family ran, not as victims of the dictatorship, but as people tied to the apparatus that had just spent years bombing cities, executing civilians, and turning northern Somalia into a killing field. Now this same family is in the US, where Omar stands up and lectures Americans about justice, accountability, morality, and “genocide.” The hypocrisy is sickening. A daughter of a colonel from the regime that carried out the Isaaq genocide has the gall to moralize to the country that took her in after her father’s side lost power. Her father came to the U.S. as a “refugee,” just like Yusuf Abdi Ali, who was accused of war crimes and later found liable for torture in a U.S. civil court. Yet, as far as publicly available information shows, her father never faced comparable scrutiny or accountability. Consider this: Ali was deported from the US only two years ago, after a survivor pursued justice through the courts. It took a survivor’s determination to bring his abuses before a judge and jury. That’s the record.

The IMF says America can't grow its way out of debt. Scott Bessent skipped their Bangkok meeting for "domestic engagements": 500+ new factory projects and $380B+ in announced investment. @sjkokinda on Trump's Treasury chief calling their bluff 👇

🚨 NOW: ILHAN OMAR HAS ALL BUT LOST CNN. Even JAKE TAPPER just said that if she really fabricated her birth date to obtain citizenship, she should've gone to the BIDEN DOJ and admitted it, get a slap on the wrist and walk! Legal expert: "An investigation was started under BIDEN...that's gonna UNDERMINE any argument she has that it's politically, selective and vindictive!" 🤯 EVEN CNN! 🤣 NO weaponization. Federal warrant signed off on by a DEMOCRAT JUDGE And she was being looked into even under a Democrat president. There you have it! In fact, there are reports that the liberal judge actually tried narrowing what documents HSI could take during the raid on her house. REMOVE HER CITIZENSHIP AND SEND HER BACK 👋🏻

Elon laid out a path to peace between Ukraine and Russia back in October 2022, and he was attacked for it by almost everyone In November 2023, he explained to Lex Fridman why he had proposed peace: “a lot of people dying for basically almost no changes in land,” with an entire generation of young Ukrainians and Russians paying the price Two and a half years after his original proposal, he warned that Ukraine should seek peace or suffer severe loss of life for no gains, and called continuing the war cruel and inhumane Today the world is talking about the same kind of deal he proposed, only after hundreds of thousands more lives were thrown into a meat grinder for almost nothing He was right then, and he is right now x.com/XFreeze/status…

In the 1980s, a Stanford economist co-wrote a flat tax plan. The US Congress never passed it. About a decade later, Estonia, a former Soviet republic, adopted a flat tax, and today it has more startup unicorns per capita than any other country in Europe. Yesterday, that economist won the Nobel Prize in Economics. 🧵

The Head of Excavations at Gobekli Tepe doesn’t understand the importance of the fact that it’s only been ~5-10% excavated in 31 years. 📍They’ve only excavated ~72 T-Pillars, while there are ~128 more waiting to be discovered at the site. The Pillars are the KEY to understanding the purpose of Gobekli Tepe. They are saturated with 3D depictions, which are clearly meant to tell us something, and we will never fully understand this profoundly important site until it is appropriately excavated - and it’s inexcusable that after all this time, it’s nowhere near that now, nor is there a plan to get there. In fact, ask when is the last time they’ve unearthed a T-Pillar at this site… Why does the management team of Gobekli Tepe even need all this to be explained in the first place?

The feed cleansing will continue until morale improves.

I'm always surprised by how many Americans don't know that their country's first war was against the Barbary pirates of North Africa. They attacked American ships, captured and enslaved American sailors, and demanded tribute payments. When Jefferson and Adams asked why Americans were being targeted, the Tripolitan ambassador justified it by citing the Quran, claiming that his religion gave them the right to wage war against those who didn't acknowledge their authority.

If you’re a world-class chip design or production engineer, consider joining SpaceX or Tesla. How cool would it be to iterate on designs and customize production machines at lightning speed?

Elon Musk wants to do 10 chip designs a year with Terafab compared to 1 every 2 years: "The advancement of any given technology is how many iterations, and how much progress per iteration. How many chip designs can you do, make and test in a year? These days it's typically 2

Göbekli Tepe is one of about a dozen related sites in the same region. They have all been located, yet almost none have been excavated. We know exactly where they are and nobody is digging them. Why?
