Thanks to Elon, we just watched a Roadster fly. For anyone still wondering how the Rocket trim does it, here's the breakdown: Underbody suction for grip: Powered fans draw air out from under the floor so atmospheric pressure presses the car against the surface. Tesla says the system pulls up to 2 Gs, boosts cornering beyond a typical 1.6 G tire limit to >2 Gs, and can hold the car upside down at zero speed. Compressed air for flight: Two tanks (600L total) hold ~250 kg of air feeding 10 nozzles. Four rear jets generate >80 kN of thrust, hitting 0 to 60 mph in 0.81s during the demo, while perimeter thrusters provide upward lift and midair attitude control until the tanks run dry.

My favorite factor model is currently the least-adopted one. I avoid defaulting to consensus beliefs. This affects everything: portfolio construction, the questions I ask AI, and the big worldview questions that most people treat as settled.

🚨 OMG THIS IS BRUTAL. MI Senate candidate Abdul Mohamed El Sayed has LOST NBC NEWS after they found out he lied to Kristen Welker about being linked to the Muslim Brotherhood When confronted, he's visibly shaken: NBC: "You've gone after the president for 'truthfulness.' When people ask YOU a question, they expect the truth." 🤯 ABDUL: "Do you think, do you think, are you, are you insinuating somehow I was lying?!" And yet the receipts of his own family stating ties to the Muslim Brotherhood are RIGHT THERE: "My family has long been MB" Not what Abdul wants in October! MIKE ROGERS HAS THE MOMENTUM. Those posts came from his own sister, Eman Abdelhadi. She also said relatives in Egypt were jailed over their ties to the group She wrote that their mother was active in the Brotherhood in college in the 1970s He dismissed his own sister's words as "hearsay evidence from a tweet." IT'S HIS FAMILY'S OWN WORDS When you lose NBC!

A system can look stable because nobody is allowed to report what is going wrong. Ask how bad news reaches the people in charge—and whether they can change the rules. Lesson 19: Rigid systems collapse.

NGOs have claimed that El Salvador's crackdown isn't worth it because a few hundred gangsters have died while in prison. However, the crackdown has averted far more homicides than criminals have died in prison as a result, so this argument doesn't hold water.

My latest article is about El Salvador. The country has become safe--I've rigorously documented that and shown that every objection falls flat--but will that lead to growth? Will El Salvador become rich? Link: cremieux.xyz/p/will-el-salv…

🚨 NOW: ILHAN OMAR HAS ALL BUT LOST CNN. Even JAKE TAPPER just said that if she really fabricated her birth date to obtain citizenship, she should've gone to the BIDEN DOJ and admitted it, get a slap on the wrist and walk! Legal expert: "An investigation was started under BIDEN...that's gonna UNDERMINE any argument she has that it's politically, selective and vindictive!" 🤯 EVEN CNN! 🤣 NO weaponization. Federal warrant signed off on by a DEMOCRAT JUDGE And she was being looked into even under a Democrat president. There you have it! In fact, there are reports that the liberal judge actually tried narrowing what documents HSI could take during the raid on her house. REMOVE HER CITIZENSHIP AND SEND HER BACK 👋🏻

No longer a conspiracy theory US Attorney confirms shops are being setup with the sole purpose of exchanging SNAP benefits for cash Multiple fake stores, one as small as 150 square feet cashing out as much as $480,000 in EBT per month $7 million in food stamps turned into cash at 2 locations “Less than 150 square feet in size, smaller than some bathrooms — stores had one register, no carriages, no hand baskets” “One legitimate supermarket in the same area as these stores redeems approximately $80,000 in and SNAP benefits per month. Over the last 20 months, the Juswala variety store was redeeming between 3-6x that amount monthly” The 2 fake convenient store owners caught were both from Haiti

@JasonWilde108 Here is the gudea cylinders with the instructions inscribed in them by Sumerian cuneiform, the cylinders are in the louvre museum. Fascinating stuff imo

Around 4,100 years ago, a Sumerian ruler recorded an encounter with a giant winged being who instructed him to undertake a massive construction project. The account comes from Gudea, ruler of Lagash around 2100 BCE. His story survives on two inscribed clay cylinders known as the Gudea Cylinders. According to the inscriptions, Gudea experienced an extraordinary dream involving several beings. The first was big, described as being as massive as heaven and earth. It had wings resembling those of the Anzû bird, lions resting on either side, and a lower body compared to a violent flood. The being spoke to Gudea about constructing a temple, but Gudea couldn't understand the instructions. He sought an interpretation from the goddess Nanshe, who identified the figure as Ningirsu. Two other figures appeared in the dream. One was Nisaba, holding a silver stylus and consulting a tablet containing holy stars associated with the construction. The other one was Nindub, a divine architect who held a lapis lazuli tablet and recorded the building's design. Think about what is being described here. An huge winged being appears before a king. Another figure consults astronomical information. A third produces an architectural plan. Gudea then organizes the construction of the temple, establishes its foundations, and obtains building materials from distant regions. What interests me is that Gudea wasn't some fictional dude invented hundreds of years later. He was a real Sumerian ruler, and these inscriptions come from his own historical period. I'm not suggesting this proves that nonhuman beings were handing architectural plans to the Sumerians. Maybe they were, but the encounter is explicitly described as a dream, and the cylinders are religious royal inscriptions. We have an ancient ruler describing an enormous winged entity, astronomical observations, architectural plans, and instructions connected to an actual construction project. Why did the Sumerians describe the transfer of knowledge this way? Why were their gods so frequently associated with teaching, building, measuring, and establishing civilization? I keep coming back to these accounts because the gods weren't always portrayed as distant beings begging for worship. Sometimes they were the ones providing the instructions. I think that's worth examining. The statue is Gudea himself holding the architectural plan, dating to approximately 2100 BCE.

This dude slapped a new label (& name: Le Château Colombier) on a shitty $2.50 supermarket wine and won gold medal at the Gilbert et Gaillard wine competition in France. They described it as "suave, edgy and rich palate with clean, young aromas that promise a lovely complexity"
