@Zap_Tastic @Megalithicmyste It seems to only show up where there's been transmogrification of the limestone. I can think of 4 sites offhand. The geology around Cusco is complex, so if it's also found in cliffs (e.g. roadway cuts) then it could be natural. But I've never seen it in natural settings.

@CassieCMartin @shipibospirit It was very deeply buried 100 years ago. As were most of the sites. Very hard to explain how that happened in the 400 years since the Inca. If that were true we should now have 1/5th of that soil re-accumulated since the 1930s. x.com/plastolithic/s…
