When both crypto and equities flash fear together, it’s a macro/liquidity story rather than a single-asset story. Think USD strength, higher real yields, and de-risking by systematic funds—more than any one crypto headline. History rhymes at these levels Not precise forecasts—just the playbook I’ve seen repeat over 20+ years of cycles: Bitcoin / Crypto (index ≤ ~25) Nov–Dec 2018: Extreme fear into the capitulation low, followed by a multi-month recovery. Mar 2020: Panic reading during the COVID crash → swift V-shaped reversal with triple-digit gains in the following months as liquidity flooded back. Jun–Jul 2022: Extreme fear produced a tradable bounce, but liquidity kept tightening and we printed a lower low in Nov 2022. Lesson: fear can mark a low without being the low when macro is deteriorating. Late 2022 → Jan 2023: Fear lingered; once DXY and yields rolled over, crypto engineered a powerful trend change.
