He’s absolutely RIGHT and absolutely WRONG. He’s right that players shouldn’t be getting injured whilst working with others outside of the club. He is absolutely wrong for first of all, discouraging players to be doing more and changing the ethos of the club that players shouldn’t be investing in themselves. Working with others or just generally doing more outside the club, should be seen as a good thing. HOWEVER, having worked in elite sport for a decade, the biggest problem is the amount of cowboys which only seem to be on the up. Anyone can give exercises out, but the true metric is over a period of time, how many of the players are regularly available and physically fit. Merry Christmas.
