Had a very pleasant experience at @rpolucknow. Despite the huge volume of applications they process, the staff (especially the senior administration) were courteous to all who came in. A rare sight of professionalism combined with empathy. @sjaishankaroffc

@KevinZollman Timmons and Horgan claim their Moral Twin earth argument is Open question argument revisited. If we see it as more than a semantic claim (which Moore apparently does in the preface to the 2nd edition of Principia Ethica) may be it’ll make more sense.

@philosauruss Whichever way you might try to carve up the distinction, it’s violations are too many for it to hold. There’s personal ethics, constitutional morality..it’s too muddled to make any sense. Most textbooks no longer make the distinction now I guess

I just graduated from my 4 week Ancient Philosophy course with the University of Pennsylvania (@Penn). I know... my hobbies are very impractical, but it took a lot of hours after the kids were asleep. Thank you Plato and predecessors for all the "fun" over the past month!

@KevinZollman Work by Mercier and Sperber comes to mind. They have quite a few articles where they cite experimental evidence to argue that reason is essentially a social activity and thus woks optimally in a social deliberative setting. Thanks for sharing the syllabus. Looks great!
