If you want to become a top 1% engineer then you can follow this habit Self-learning by reading TEXT! It can be reading docs, technical books, whitepapers, research papers, case studies, etc... Watching videos can definitely help you, learning from text or building a habit of reading can help you in the long run. If you want to get started just start by reading medium blogs from top companies like Netflix, AWS, and Microsoft to understand how they tackle technical problems. When you are stuck on some problem and can't find a solution then try reading the documentation (always keep the documentation open) Reading technical books is also a great way to build a solid foundation, remember fundamentals don't change, new tech is just an abstraction on core CS fundamentals. Again only reading not going to help, you need to apply so find a way to get hands-on by building a project and learning a skill. Going to upload a video on this topic soon on my YouTube - youtube.com/channel/UCChmJ…
@parmardarshil07 Most company tech blogs I have seen focus on general system design, which is expected. Do you have any recommendations for data architecture/systems blogs?
@parmardarshil07 Agreed on new technologies or buzz words are only abstraction around fundamental CS, SWE knowledge in the IT industry. Always tell the young people that we have to study the foundation and learn new tech.
