Sayo x George the most mischaracterized relationship ever, I've seen stuff going from "she doesn't love him that much and think he's shitty" to "George just wants her to be furniture" when the story screams the opposite for both
George's ignorance towards her hidden feelings is way more complicated than people make it seem, and it isn't a matter of wanting her to be furniture, but people somehow fuse both to slander him from being George Ushiromiya
@p3at0 my personal understanding of george and sayo is built a lot on these moments in ep2 and 4 tbh. george Does play on the furniture dynamic but its bc he thinks doing so will reaffirm her own identity in their relationship. theyre both acting in a certain Way they think is “normal”
@p3at0 I like to poke fun at George but he's genuinely very sympathetic to me. The story shows how George used to be very incel-y and that tends to paint him in a negative light but it's introduced as an example of how he's improved and changed since having a crush on Sayo.
@p3at0 george being portraided as a amazing lover in all episodes and * clearly loving him but people still make up shit to hate george and everything that surrounds him
@p3at0 I think Sayo, being the girlfailure that she is, should be allowed to have a crush on that weird little guy.
