To all my friends in the northeast US, if you have never experienced smoke from wildfires, please take care. If the AQI is over 100, do not go out without a mask. PM2.5 particles can do a lot of damage over time. It is cumulative. If you have an air purifier, run it inside too.
here is one simple way you can build an air purifier - I used this for several seasons pscleanair.gov/525/DIY-Air-Fi…
Okay well that was fun but I’m going to mute this now. Please take care, limit your exposure best you can, drink lots of water.
@outseide 174 right now. Upstate NY 😔. Was 180 earlier.
@outseide is running the a/c bad in such circumstances?
@outseide If ventilation is important, taping an MERV13 filter in windows can help keep particulates out and might be good for Covid mitigation.
@outseide So this was on my “For You” tab and I’m so thankful for the first hand experience you have with wildfires, I live in Maryland and have an outdoor marina job so I’m trying to stay inside the office as much as I can 😩
