@OpeBee 2019 was the year Late Ajimobi ruffled the feathers and paved the way for Seyi Makinde of PDP. It even cost Ajimobi his bid for Oyo South Senatorial seat. I think 2027 is different.

@OpeBee Is Dangote saying he cannot compete with the importers? This a free market. If the marketer can bring in fuel of similar quality at cheaper price, then Dangote should rather check itself. I believe importation of fuel should stop naturally not by fiat.

@OpeBee @TaxDoctorNG The question we should also ask is: what are other competitors doing? Why can’t they lower price and gain market share? Globacom used this strategy against MTN and Econet. I suspect something deeper. Could it be that the 3 players have formed a cartel?

@OpeBee I think I agree with you. Even with the heavy tax he claims he pays in Nigeria compared with other parts of Africa, look at the Net profit margins? It is 34%. For a company of Dangote’s scale, this is huge.

@DokunOjomo @saadatbibire I think the issue is not about Akpabio. It is about the entire senate. Every senator is leader. This is a screening committee. Was Akpabio there? If majority of the senate stand their ground and go in direction, Akpabio cannot override them.
