@RahRizzle123 totally get where ur coming from! having akita appear right after oni trilogy + lloyd venting to her about harumi does make it seem like she’s being posed as “the good option” and exists as a response to harumi
lloykita has been misogynistic since the moment akita kissed him at the end of ice chapter and then all anyone ever talked about her for was whether she would end up with lloyd. akita is not her own person in the fandom, and now she is not her own person in the new season
People are, I hate to say this, projecting their own feelings about the Lloykita ship onto the season and passing it off as ‘bad writing’. Akita is wholly consistent with how she is presented in the Ice Chapter, and it’s insane to think that she’d just wait around for Lloyd…
