I think we're seeing more people who use an engineering approach to AI, not just the code it produces, have more success and better outcomes in the longer term. At least from my vantage point. (systems thinking, etc.)
using AI for coding is a deeply technical engineering craft most people don't approach it as so, and don't get the results we associate with high craft but the ones who do have been sprinting ahead more tokens wont save you, more thinking + skill + llm intuition will have

The AI time compression phenomenon is a thing. There's so much that I thought happened in August, and it was in February or March... or, last month... I bet someone smarter than me has words for it, but AI increased what we could accomplish, so memory milestones are closer now.
Stop for a second and consider that last year at this time OpenAI had just released GPT 4.1. That was only a year ago. 😳

Using feature flags is a common practice to help teams get to trunk based development, and ship faster. Not a silver bullet, but definitely helpful.
Is anyone doing feature flag development with agents? Not tried it, but in theory feature flagging is an alternative model to PR's to getting work on main. 1. Put it on main, disabled by a flag 2. Deploy with the rest of the system 3. Unflag to selected users early 4. Fix bugs

We should federally tax Tokens at the Provider level. Not a lot. Less than 50c per million tokens. It will accomplish 4 things (at least ) 1. It will push the big AI players to optimize tokenization, caching , routing and localization Which will 2. Reduce energy
