I'll say it again and again: The evidence being uncovered in the Dominion case shows that Fox News is not at its core a news network. News orgs tell the truth to viewers. These documents show that Fox knew the truth, but peddled election lies to its audience.
@oliverdarcy @gtconway3d So, here is a question why does Fox and other Murdoch papers continue to have Press credentials at the Whitehouse ?... Fox (and Murdoch papers - exception for maybe WSJ) is no better than the national enquirer which did not and does not have press credentials.
@oliverdarcy If Fox loses this case will they shut down and go bankrupt? Why hasn't Fox fired Tucker, Hannity and Ingrahm since this lawsuit has come to light? What are they doing to hold them accountable?
@oliverdarcy Unfortunately, those who turn to Fox for news don't care if they're lied to, even if they know they're being lied to. A comfortable lie, even a blatant one, is preferred over a harsh reality.
@oliverdarcy @AlyssaW667 At the very least the FTC should make them drop the "news" from their brand. It's hard to imagine a worse case of a network deceiving consumers day in and day out for almost 3 decades.
@oliverdarcy Since they are not a news network by their own admission, please explain why we continue to allow them to attend the White House Press Briefings and ask “questions” to get misleading video clips and sound bites?
@oliverdarcy @jaketapper Who would have guessed?!?! (Spoiler Alert: everyone who wasn't under the spell of their propaganda)
@oliverdarcy @JohnJHarwood Dude, Fox admitted in court that they’re an *entertainment channel*, not a news network. For real, I’m pretty disappointed by your framing here - you should know better.
@oliverdarcy Which one is a news network Oliver? 🤔 right, NONE of them 😂😂😂 I think this faux outrage over Fox is hilarious when CNN, MSNBC, NPR etc have been doing this crap for a long time.
@oliverdarcy Much like how the other networks provided a torrent of lies about Trump for 5 years.
