SW engineering is about combining known patterns in _novel_ ways to reduce complexity. Software *will* get complex in time, by definition of the iterative/incremental approach to building software. The crux is on the _novel_ part: agents cannot come up on their own with what they were never trained on. But there is nothing wrong with guiding agents to apply what they already know in novel ways for you.
