@officiallynotai @trikcode Except you usually don't rewrite 70% of the codebase. You pick apart the organizational structure, trace the logic and read as much as you need to, then get to work. You don't reinvent the wheel without a good reason, and I'm not sure he had one.

@NikTek Played the initial 2.0 version and this didn't happen. Played again in 2.1 and these clowns started swiping Dodger with their car. Still happens in 2.3. That's the downside to games getting updates years after release. QA drops off a cliff.

@AI_EmeraldApple @Pirat_Nation The problem is that it's not wholly generic. Each game requires custom, game-specific hooks into proprietary code to modify camera matrices and game logic. Reverse engineering and hooking into proprietary code is a a legal grey area at best, one that favors the copyright holder.
