As Evelyn continues to come out of sedation, she's having more and more trouble with her breathing tube. We've spent the last day and a half trying to help her keep from gagging and the gagging leading to vomiting. They're planning on extubating today, but her oxygen saturation isn't where they'd like it. I'm concerned she aspirated, we'll x-ray shortly to confirm. It could be caused by the constant gagging. Her blood gasses all look good, so it's likely just the effort of work from the constant gagging. Over the next few days, as she recovers from the viruses and treatments, the doctors will get a clearer picture of what's happening with her heart. Can they repair the mitrial valve and proceed to the Fontan, or will we be going down the heart failure and transplant route? We're praying for repair and Fontan. Thank you, everyone, for the love and prayers ❤️
@noCinErik You did get the funds for expenses, correct?
@noCinErik In the future, may she shed tears of joy and happiness👍 I will say a little prayer for her recovery
@noCinErik Have they discussed a trach? it bypasses the gag and her O2 would have no obstruction...later they close the hole when she's better.
@noCinErik This is so heartbreaking. I will continue to pray. I just watched my dad have similar problems. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to witness. I will pray for you and your family as well. God Bless her little body and what she’s going through. God Please protect this family.
@noCinErik Praying for repair & Fontan for little darling Evelyn and for all of you during this trying time 💚🙏😌
