Average PPP Loan amount: $107,000 Average federal student loan amount: $37,338 If we can cancel PPP Loans, we can cancel student debt.
The people against student loan cancellation fail to see or ignore the bigger broader picture here at stake. The benefits to the economy are far greater if millions of students are able to break the chains of student debt. The arguments against cancellation are narrow, minded, and shortsighted.
@ninaturner @Nikki_Irish The average college grad makes a million dollars more than a non college grad. I think they can afford repaying 38k!
People were forced by the government to get those PPP loans so employees could be paid, but you want to take that away to pay people that voluntarily entered into the loan with the intent to invest in themselves. You are a whole new level of evil.
@ninaturner Student loans were not set up like PPP loans. You know that, but continue to compare apples to eggplants.
@ninaturner Money just growing on trees... Sinking our economy the fastest way possible. How about pay your own damn debts, like most the rest of us had to?
@ninaturner As an educator if we cancel all student loans, does that mean that you will teach for free.
@ninaturner 70% of PPP money went to the top 20% of wage earners
@ninaturner In my small town most people that got PPP loans didn't need them
@ninaturner Apples and oranges. One is a personal loan. The other is a business loan/grant to continue to pay employees while businesses were shut down by governments for the pandemic. You paid back the amount you didn’t have receipts for showing you used it as intended.
