I am absolutely flabbergasted and appalled at the news that Justin Wokeby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, is set to receive a knighthood from His Majesty, King Charles. In a country that is supposed to uphold a separation of church and state, it seems absolutely ludicrous that such a high-ranking member of the clergy would be given such a prestigious honor. I am shocked and saddened that such a decision has been made, and I sincerely hope that the King rethinks this course of action and chooses not to honor the Archbishop in this way.
@PaulKirkby3 Hang on a second. Our country very specifically does not separate church and state (unlike say France) which is why the head of state (Charles the tampon) is also the head of the church
@nicmurrell @PaulKirkby3 Thankfully he’s not head of my church.
@nicmurrell @PaulKirkby3 I know. I'm from the US and even I know that not true. We have a separation here.
@nicmurrell @PaulKirkby3 Paul doesn't seem to know an awful lot about our heritage and culture.
@nicmurrell @PaulKirkby3 There is no point! #theydontgetit
@nicmurrell @PaulKirkby3 They never let facts get in the way of joining in on a rant topic of the day…
@nicmurrell @PaulKirkby3 he obviously thinks he is French or American :D
@nicmurrell @PaulKirkby3 The church of England formed just so a king could get a divorce
@nicmurrell @PaulKirkby3 So Paul Kirkby whoever he/she is (Right wing. Pro Brexit. Anti eu. Hate political correctness and wokeness. Anti BLM and taking the knee) knows very little about the institutions and constitution of the UK Maybe they're a foreigner
@nicmurrell @PaulKirkby3 And bishops sit in the House of Lords. Which I don’t agree with any more than I support Welsby receiving a Knighthood.
