If an underclassman and upperclassman are equal, the underclassman should play. It's how "programs" are built.
@nextlevelbb Most HS programs do the opposite. They defer to seniority, play the older player, and tell the younger player to wait for his turn. Politics and parental interference have led to this. It’s very hard to build a program if it’s not a meritocracy.

@nextlevelbb That’s how they fall apart, especially if once the younger kid gets older he’s benched!! We had a similar situation and all the older players quit. Young team took its lumps but became good by juniors. As sophomores they could play with older guys but not for long!!
@nextlevelbb Yes..but a new twist. If a D2 coach can score a bench player from LSU in the portal..they’ll both be sitting! 😳🇺🇸
