No, we will not post the 10 Commandments in public schools! tucson.com/news/state-reg…
This converstation is mainly happening to make a certain minority element of the cultural political environment feel important. the 10 commandments do not need to be on display in order to feel or understand the positive effects they have on society. The 10 Commandments are a set of religious and moral laws that are widely recognized in Judaism and Christianity. According to the Bible, they were given by God to Moses on Mount Sinai, and are recorded in the books of Exodus and Deuteronomy. Here is the list of the 10 Commandments, according to the King James Version of the Bible: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20:3) "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth." (Exodus 20:4) "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain." (Exodus 20:7) "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy." (Exodus 20:8) "Honour thy father and thy mother." (Exodus 20:12) "Thou shalt not kill." (Exodus 20:13) "Thou shalt not commit adultery." (Exodus 20:14) "Thou shalt not steal." (Exodus 20:15) "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour." (Exodus 20:16) "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's." (Exodus 20:17) These commandments are sometimes divided into two parts: the first four are often referred to as the "vertical" commandments, dealing with one's relationship with God, while the last six are called the "horizontal" commandments, addressing one's relationship with other people. They provide a foundation for moral and religious conduct and serve as a guide for living a righteous life according to the beliefs of Judaism and Christianity.
@nancygforAZ Now do all other “banners” related to individual preferences. If “honor your mother and father” and “thou shalt not steal” is so offensive and not appropriate to discuss with kids, then get everything else out as well.
@nancygforAZ But hang all the propaganda pushing your agenda and demonize all those who don't roll your way. Sounds to me as if people like you have an agenda that is manipulative and controlling in a negative manner.
@nancygforAZ How can @anthonykernAZ call himself a Christian while attending and participating in the insurrection as well as lying and falsifying a legal document stating that he was a true elector ??? The Bible says, " Beware for many false prophets will come in my name."
@nancygforAZ Which one of the commandments endorses treason?
@nancygforAZ No we won't! Religion isn't education. Belief isn't facts
@nancygforAZ I think it should be all or nothing. You don’t get to force these religious 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ on kids at public school & silence ppl of other faiths. It’s frankly unconstitutional. However, only ppl who are subscribers to a faith are allowed to teach about that particular faith.
@nancygforAZ As yes, “judeo-christian “ values. Another far right dog whistle from the fired cop insurrectionist Kern.
