@KKnickrehm I couldn't make a document on classroom. This is my embalming project.
A chief embalmer always performed the embalming. They dress like the god Anubis and wore a jackal.
This process always took place on the wet bank of the Nile, because it was believed to be related to death.
The purpose of embalming was to protect the body .
The process of embalming took 70 days, it could be no less or no more than that.
Food and drinks were also plead in the tomb so they would have things to eat and drink in the after life.
Finally the burial is the last part. The funeral proceeds to the tomb and the coffin is placed in a sarcophagus.
Soon after we paint a picture of the god Osris on the surface.
Then we paint the bandages with liquid resin to glue the bandages together.
After that i will tie the arms and legs together with a papyrus scroll between King Amemhotep III hands.
Next a priest reads spells out loud. These spells will help the deceased make the journey to the afterlife.
Next we placed amulets (an egyptian religious jewelry) within the wrapping.
Now i will warp the fingers and toes. Then wrap the arms and legs separately.
We will start with the head and neck wrapping it in linen.
Over time we will return the organs to the body.
It has been 40 days so I will now wash the body with water from the Nile. I also used oils to make the skin more elastic.
When we first took all the organs out we put them in canopic jars.
