I’d like to weigh in on NBC news' recent decision to hire Ronna McDaniel. By giving her a platform, NBC has given legitimacy to the lies she helped the former president spread. Now we come to the why. Why would NBC News hire someone as controversial? Here’s the reason: News gathering is a business, and the networks have prioritized widening their audience. They feel the need to show their Republican bona fides by hiring conservative voices. But that is the crux of the problem. Which Republicans? Trump loyalists who are election deniers and January 6 apologists? To me, that doesn’t seem like the answer. It’s another reason independent journalism is essential right now, essential to provide unvarnished coverage in one of the most important elections in American history and to hold the mainstream media accountable. ↓
@DanRather The last 8 years have shown us that if you do horrible things, you are elevated to the top. Ronna McDaniel, Donald Trump, Kyle Rittenhouse. The math ain’t mathin’.
@mudpuppy_16 @DanRather Imagine what an entire generation of children are learning about how the world works from this last decade or so.
@mudpuppy_16 @DanRather 22,000 posts. Wow…must be interesting at your house. 🤦♂️
@mudpuppy_16 @DanRather Only reason @POTUS made it to the top was due to the naked showers w/his daughter.
@mudpuppy_16 @DanRather But the Democrat Party is squeaky clean, huh? 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
@mudpuppy_16 @DanRather It's hugely concerning for all of us that an entire generation is being trained to believe that it's just normal for politicians to commit crimes and treason and be rewarded for it. As a result, the concept of human rights will be strange for them in a way that it isn't for us.
@mudpuppy_16 @rizfan @DanRather Every disgraced corporate senior executive who walks away w a golden parachute worth more than you or I will earn in a lifetime.
@mudpuppy_16 @DanRather The bitter clingers are still talking about Kyle Rittenhouse. Let's just glaze right over the fact that took place in a court of law.
