New release: 0.36.0 github.com/mpv-player/mpv… Vulkan video decode, Wayland fractional scaling, vo_kitty, ARIB caption support, and much more
If you want to try out some hot experimental features, the git version of mpv + libplacebo + ffmpeg now support Vulkan-based hardware video decoding. Drivers are still a shitshow though, stick to the regular hardware decode (vaapi, etc.) for daily use. github.com/mpv-player/mpv…

@Jack_Y_Zhang mpv is provided "as-is", there is no warranty, not even for fitness for purpose. It is unreasonable to believe your bitching on twitter will result in any volunteer feeling more inclined to care about your feature request.

@KmartGamer Don't worry, my search column in tweetdeck for "mpv player" is already totally polluted by people who cannot get the abbreviation for "most valuable player" right. (Though I guess it's a nice compliment to us)
@avvmxx I'm pretty sure you can compile mpv for M1 Macs just fine. We as a project don't distribute any binaries ourselves.
