je réalise aujourd’hui qu’arrêter ne fait pas de moi une mauvaise mère. Parce qu’au final, mon fils n’a pas besoin d’une version parfaite de la maternité. Il a besoin d’une mère présente, apaisée, capable de le regarder avec douceur que ce soit au biberon ou autrement.

Je ne me sentais pas libre. Je ne me sentais pas moi. Et plus je me forçais, plus la culpabilité, la détresse et le rejet de moi-même prenaient de la place. Alors j’ai arrêté au bout de cinq jours. Et même si une partie de moi fait encore le deuil de cette expérience idéalisée
Je pensais que l’allaitement serait instinctif. Doux. Naturel. Presque magique. On m’avait tellement montré l’image d’une mère apaisée, un bébé contre elle, un lien indescriptible. Alors quand mon fils est né, je me suis accrochée à cette idée. Je voulais y arriver.

Pourquoi j’ai l’impression d’être folle quand je dis que je ne veux pas allaiter ? J’ai essayé cinq jours et mon baby perdait du poids parce que je ne produisait pas assez à un moment je ne vais pas le mettre en danger juste pour allaiter c’est égoïste et stressant
