This is the right plan for Canada. Fairness for every generation. Including on taxes. Capital gains change will affect me. But I accept it for the greater good in our country so we can get done what's needed on housing, school food, etc. and remember the 1% are louder than everybody else who depends on the services... #cdnpoli thestar.com/opinion/editor…
@mohamadfakih8 You are always giving so much, including your time and energy...it's refreshing my friend ❤️.
@mohamadfakih8 Thank you for standing up for everyday Canadians Mohamad. As I've become wealthier myself it has been a privilege to support more Canadians through my taxes.
@mohamadfakih8 If you care about those things you’d want to axe this tax completely.
@mohamadfakih8 blah blah blah... if you feel so good about donating -- donate more.
You must ask yourself why it is that the young generations are worse off than those preceding them. You seem to believe they have been treated unfairly, but I disagree with that. The country is indeed in a mess, but it has nothing to do with notions of “fairness” and everything to do with government policies of the last decade that have lowered the standard of living for our youth. The government now wants you and me to atone for their mistakes. Instead of capitulating, we should be running this #Liberal government out of town at the very earliest possibility. That’s the best and most caring thing we can do for our youth:)
@mohamadfakih8 Fairness? What a joke. If you truly believe it then return all your wealth and take home $60k a year. Then you would prove you believe in fairness.
Theoretically it may make sense ... But where has this government proven to you it can execute on this? They've already squandered your tax dollars with tens of billions in pet projects around the world They already squandered $70b in future tax revenue by chasing out oil and gas ... Without any replacement revenue. Help me understand where this makes sense beyond theoretical.
@mohamadfakih8 I agree completely. I’m 68. When I was 18 my father and his peers were paying a top marginal tax rate north of 65%. I never heard them complain. This is sound policy.
@mohamadfakih8 Inflation will continue to crush anyone without real assets. If you pay an extra 5% tax on a property that inflates 10% you're still ahead.
