I had 2 AI agent workers create me videos without using a video editor or a visible browser (full headless).
Their settings were on "Invisible" for skill execution, which means they can do browser work on your default browser, in their own profile, without showing you the browser (headless).
So you can continue doing what you're doing without ever being disturbed as they work for you. This is a simple switch in OpenSpawn.
First I placed 5 links to Amazon products inside one of their output folders in a links.txt file.
That's all the material they were given to start.
I then made two skills:
1. Video material. Go download images from Amazon and create background images for each one. Then create a video script and use a free text-to-speech website to download mp3s.
2. Video production. Use simple javascript to build a tiny video editor and use the combined material to produce a video. Export the video to your output folder.
I wrote the skills in a way that if I dropped different Amazon links tomorrow, it would produce a different video. For this example it made a video on cheap gaming GPUs.
For the video export/production part, I told it to check its output folder and see if it has a video editor in it already, then use it. So after it built it the first time, if I was to run the skill again, it would do it much faster next time because it already has a video editor adjusted to the material the first worker outputs.
The two workers did the job and did it without visibly opening my default browser even once. All I had to do was write 2 skills for them and press play.
OpenSpawn solved one of the toughest engineering challenges of all time: Simplifying the automation of every task that can be done on a computer.
This is why it's genius. If you ask Claude how every desktop app, browser action (90% of real work), etc, can be automated, it will tell you: Make an integration for every app. You then integrate it with Gmail, YouTube, Blender, Photoshop, etc, 1000+ external tools. You then rely on an API that may break in one update.
Instead, we chose to teach it desktop and browser automation such as "Read and write that" through tools and gave it real job skills that only have 5 step types:
Action: Do basic things like rename folders, open a website, click on a link, type in text in an input field, click a button on a desktop app, etc. This works across the board.
AI Task: Do something generative, like make an image or write code.
If/When: To truly automate something dynamic, you need variables for reactions. For ex. automating a video game is not the same as writing code, you have energy levels that vary and such. This is where you can use if/when conditions.
Wait Conditions: Many times the AI has to wait for a huge download or something to finish and do nothing.
Human Approval: Two sub-types (Review/Act). Review you don't want it sending out an email without you reading it first. Act you don't want it clicking on a cloudflare check. You do that for the AI when you have to.
Now imagine you could interchange these any way you want, organize them any way you want, use them for any purpose you want, or have as many as you want. You then save them as .spwn files that you can port over between different computers that contain the skill + write beautiful messages like "Doing x action" in the lobby for you, so you can observe what they're doing.
TLDR: We simplify something extremely complex.
There's dark mode in OpenSpawn.
Each one of those workers you see is a different model (ChatGpt, Claude, DeepSeek, Grok, etc). Each one can run a different skill. Each one has an output folder on your disk. They are all interconnected and work as a unit. They can do anything you tell them. They can run 100% offline. They are your workers and you are their CEO.
The whole platform is open-source and works on Windows, Mac, and Linux. You might've seen many clickbait images like this on X with AI workers, but this one is real. We are just getting started.
We're pushing over 700 holders, but we need to hit 700 downloads, it's how we'll send $SPAWN. Because this is software.
Still, insane growth for something a couple hours old with no paid marketing.
Everyone holding should retweet the pin video to make it go viral. The AI community is absolutely massive and will spread it like wildfire - more usage, more holders.
We're so early that almost nobody knows it exists.
That's how we'll make this moon. Tell everyone how based it is and how they can run a digital company with little workers doing work 24/7 by pressing "Play". Describe it as something relatable, like an "open-source Grok Bot" or a "Sims-style company simulator". I'll be making more videos showing you how to build stuff with it tomorrow.
Getting started is easy. Install OpenSpawn on your PC, go to "AI Connections" and connect any account you already have:
- ChatGPT
- Claude
- Grok/xAI
or just use any API key like from DeepSeek - this one might be cheaper than a $20 subscription, you can refill those as little as $2. If you want to spend $0 and still try it out, under "Ollama" download any of those small 1-2GB models and assign them to a worker, then talk to them in chat.
Automating an X influencer who specializes in AI with OpenSpawn.
I created 3 workers:
Marcus (Researcher): Researches all the latest AI news from this week.
Owen (Writer): Takes the research, converts it to short articles.
Elena (Tweet writer): Takes the articles, summarizes them in short tweets that sound human written. Outputs them as PDFs for easy copying and makes an image for each.
All 3 in a sequence aware of each other's folders, connected in a sequence. One play button.
"But I can do this with prompting"
Yes, but you have to re-prompt every time. Here once you make the skills you just press "Play" and 3 workers start getting work done. It can also be pre-scheduled so you don't even have to do that.
You can automate everything you've been doing in your life that you don't feel like wasting time on anymore.
>Trader: Get some workers to research investments for you, hook them up in a browser with trading access like Axiom and define your filters/entries.
>Influencer: Get them to scan your usual sources, prepare you text/video content so you can just publish.
>Engineer: Get them running in a perma loop with a reference of the final product you want (like an image), and they'll grind for you until it looks like it.
>Affiliate Marketer: Make them do keyword research, find rare niches, find you an angle in those niches, and update all your websites.
>Office Wagie: Have it scan your work and teach it your writing style so it can do stuff like draft email responses that sound like you, then you just hit send.
Those are just some examples. Then you can go back to watching YouTube or doomscrolling while 73 workers are freeing your time.
Making an Axiom sniper bot with OpenSpawn in 3 minutes.
First I tested it works in chat. Then I went to Skill Builder and built a skill so I don't have to reprompt it every time.
It went to Axiom, set filters for Solana coins on its own, market-bought a random coin using quick buy, and market sold successfully.
Now this is not the smartest way to trade but it illustrates how easy it is to use OpenSpawn workers to automate trading or any work in the browser.
You can have dozens of workers connected, some researching, others trading to do it the smart way.
This particular example cost 2 cents in DeepSeek API credits. It's optimized so token usage is minimal and execution in the browser is lightning fast.
On Omarchy Linux, I connect two workers in a permanent loop:
One makes a website about Omarchy basics, keyboard shortcuts, and beginner stuff.
One looks at the website and compares it to the OpenSpawn website, tells it to fix the design and writes feedback.
They restarted on their own at the end but I stopped them because they got the work done properly, without prompting.
Now for a more complex project this would be golden because you wouldn't have to prompt 100 times. They could loop back and forth forever.
Organic marketing plan for the next month:
- Run a quick giveaway to get the followers up
- Showcase something unique OpenSpawn can do with a video daily. There are so many ideas. Eventually one of them will go viral and conquer X algo.
I turned off my internet and using an 8GB GPU I ran 4 offline LLMs.
I gave 4 workers a skill to write 500 word articles on survival in the desert, forest, island, and while hiking. They ran on Llama 3.2 and Qwen Coder 2.5 (2GB local models).
Qwen 2.5 quality writing was slightly higher. I gave them 50K context each with minimal tool options. They got the job done in a couple of minutes.
They finished the articles and ran the right tool calls to save them locally on disk, so now on small models you can get basic tasks done - 100% offline and usable.
Computer use now works on every frontier model - not just ChatGpt Astra.
Here's comparing GPT Sol 6.1 vs Opus 5.5 on desktop control - drawing a house inside Microsoft Paint.
Opus had it beat on speed, but Sol made the better image.
Tomorrow you'll see a real hustle being automated with OpenSpawn that will give you ideas beyond automating trading as the first thing most degens want to do.
The coolest thing about it is being able to mix economic models with frontier models for unlimited usage.
For a workflow where you're automating video creation, here's how you could set it up:
- ChatGPT Luna (dirt cheap, cheaper than DeepSeek): Have it make images. You can set this on "Low" mode.
- DeepSeek: Probably cheapest frontier level model off hours, a million tokens are a couple cents, all the research and text generation
- Opus/Sol/Astra: Orchestrating and making the content produced by previous workers automated and presentable in video format, it can do this in code, on spawn it can also use your video editor via desktop control on Linux, Mac, and Windows. "Medium" mode gives you great usage without blowing your account on loops.
Making a video of a good example. Stay tuned.
