@mimansashekhar Tumbaad. To this day I am not able to get that movie out of my head. It’s one of the cinematic treasures of the world. I wish India would make more movies like that. I also have a hot take. Aks by rakesh mehra went over audiences heads. Same with RGV’s Daud, ppl didn’t get it.
@mimansashekhar A year after Dimple-Akshay Khanna's Dil Chahta Hai romance where the age gap was not that big, a film released in 2002 talked about a teenager's attraction towards an older married woman. Surprisingly, this subject may not get digested by Indian audience even today, 22 yrs later
@mimansashekhar No smoking, 99, Table no. 21,Raincoat, 24Time story, karthik calling Karthik, Rocket singh
@mimansashekhar Pyaasa is one of my all time fav, since we are talking about hindi cinema only, so here's the cinematic gems which imo were way ahead of their time
@mimansashekhar There can be several criteria to call a movie ahead of it's time. It can be technically ahead if it is using upcoming technology. Then, Ra.1 was ahead of time. The screenplay can be ahead of time, then Dostana or storyline can be ahead of time, then Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
